BUILD ATTACKS AND CONTROL THE MATCH

World Soccer Winning Eleven 2002 uses a range of controls for passing, shooting, movement, and defending. You can move with the D-pad or analog stick while using different buttons for short passes, long passes, through balls, and shots. You can also make short passes with X, shoot with Square, send long passes or crosses with Circle, and play through balls with Triangle. R1 controls sprinting, while L1 switches between players.

Passing is especially important when building attacks. One-two passes can help create space, while diagonal through balls can send runners behind the defense. Players can also change between different game modes, from quick matches and penalty kicks to longer League and Master League campaigns.

Explore Different Game Modes

The game offers several modes for different types of soccer play.

  • Match mode supports exhibition games and penalty kicks, while League mode allows national teams to compete through a season.
  • Cup mode includes group stages followed by knockout matches.
  • Master League adds a longer progression system where a club can move from Division 3 toward Division 1 while signing and training players.
  • Training provides a place to practice passes, shots, crosses, and set pieces.
  • Edit Mode allows player names and numbers to be changed and saved.
